Is the management commission fee inclusive of cleaning, laundry, and other costs? FAQ
The figures do not include commissions from third-party agencies, if applicable. Cleaning, laundry, and other costs are also not included. We can provide assistance with sourcing and setting up properties for an additional fee, if desired.
Is the management commission based on a percentage of the gross income or the profit after other costs have been deducted? FAQ
The commission is calculated based on the guest’s payment (i.e. turnover). Other costs are deducted and the remaining profit is transferred to the landlord’s account on the 10th of each month with a full breakdown of turnover and costs.
Is a commission charged for direct bookings? FAQ
Yes—there is an additional charge of 10% + VAT for direct bookings. Our sales & marketing team actively grows direct demand via relationships with local authorities, hospitals, companies and universities.
Is there a minimum number of nights required by Balloon BnB? FAQ
No minimum stay. We price intelligently by length of stay: single-night bookings include changeover costs in the price; multi-night stays spread those costs—so profit per night stays consistent and calendars don’t get blocked by short stays.
What amount do you hold as a security deposit in case of damages? FAQ
We can hold any amount you prefer as a security deposit. If you’re unsure, we’ll recommend a figure based on the property and location. Deposits are pre-authorised before arrival and can be charged up to 48 hours after check-out if damage or rule breaches occur.
